What is an instructional technology coach?

The purpose of an instructional technology coach is to support teachers with integrating technology effectively into their instructional practices. The technology coach also provides ongoing embedded professional development for teachers, staff, and administration on infusing technology into the core curriculum areas, models effective instructional strategies using technology, and leads discussions with teachers on the latest research on technology integration. Technology coaches assist teachers in using technology for assessing student learning, differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning experiences for all students.

Instructional Technology coaches can....

  • suggest ways to layer tech tools and resources into existing curriculum

  • provide support when you introduce a new tool or resource.

  • guide you through learning about technology and digital resources.

  • offer feedback on how technology and digital resources are being utilized.

  • suggests new tools that are appropriate for you and your students.

  • be helpful in the instructional activities in your classroom.

  • co-teach classroom lessons with you
