Attached is a link to a video from the USDA that discusses the current state of food and paper supplies. Mt. Healthy Food Service Department is experiencing manpower, food and paper supply shortages on a daily basis. Please remind your students that we are doing our best to serve the posted menu but may have to substitute food items. As for the trays, plates, boats, sporkettes and other paper supplies, we are limited to the number of cases we can order weekly. Currently, we are cleaning the shelves at local Walmart and Sam's stores weekly to supplement our inventory.

On Wednesday, November 17th from 2:30-4:30pm, Mt. Healthy City Schools Pantry in conjunction with the FreeStore Foodbank and No Kid Hungry present Our Dinner At Home Holiday food distribution. In addition to our regular distribution of groceries, every box will have a turkey, and the ingredients for dinner you can make with your family. There will be a recipe for making the turkey inside the box and our very own Chef Brian Potter will upload a video so that you have step by step instructions on how to prepare the turkey. The food distribution will take place at the warehouse behind the J/Sr HS. Please check our social media websites to sign up for the boxes as all will be first come, first served.

Healthy CSD staff and surrounding community members who have been previously vaccinated and need a booster shot. Financial Aid Night for Mt. Healthy High School Students and Parents
The University of Cincinnati Financial Aid Night is a way to share information and resources with parents/guardians and students about the types of aid that are available to help pay for college, as well as about the financial aid process.
Financial Aid Nights may cover a variety of topics, including: an explanation of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), how to fill out the FAFSA, student eligibility, types of aid available, what is the Expected Family Contribution (EFC), calculating your EFC, financial literacy, responsible student borrowing and loan repayment, as well as deadlines for filing.

MTH Food Service will provide 5 days worth of nutritious breakfast and lunch meals for Jr/Sr HS students on Monday, 10/11. These meals are for 10/11-10/15. Students or parents can pick up the meals from 10:30am-12pm or 6-7pm from the HS cafeteria. Students will need to provide their ID number to get meals or if parents/guardians pick up they will need to provide the students' first and last name and grade level to receive meals. Please stay tuned for pick up info for 10/20-10/22.
The Junior/Senior High will transition to remote instruction a day earlier (October 8th). Attendance in classes via Google Meet is mandatory. So please visit each school's website to see the separate Junior High and High School schedule. They are also on the JHHS FB page.

Food Service will be providing students with 5 days' worth of breakfast and lunch meals on FRIDAY, October 8th!
Students will receive these at the end of the school day on Friday to take home for the remote learning period. These meals will cover 10/11-10/15.

Due to COVID 19 cases and the resulting number of quarantines that are associated with those cases, the Homecoming parade (originally scheduled for Thursday, September 30th) and the Homecoming dance (originally scheduled for Saturday, October 2nd) are cancelled. Students will still be able to participate in Homecoming Spirit Week starting Monday September, 27th, the Homecoming pep assembly during the school day on Thursday, September 30th, and the Homecoming game on Friday, October 1st. Seniors are encouraged to run for Homecoming King and Queen and will be crowned at the Homecoming game.

Mt. Healthy City School District Remote Learning Event
Mt. Healthy City School District recognizes the importance of keeping students and staff healthy during in-person instruction. We appreciate that our students do their best when working in-person with their teachers. We are also mindful of the delicate balance necessary for the wellness of everyone while providing in-person instruction.
Due to a rise in COVID 19 cases and the quarantines that are associated with those cases, that delicate balance of wellness and in-person instruction is becoming challenging. Therefore, Mt. Healthy City School District is taking a proactive approach, for all of our community, by planning a remote learning event that will occur from October 11th to October 22nd. This event is scheduled during a time that our students will be out of school for staff professional development on October 18th and 19th.
Students and parents/guardians will receive remote learning instructions from building principals and teachers. During the time of the remote learning event, our buildings will extensively be cleaned to ensure a safe environment when returning to in-person learning on October 25th.
As a celebration, our Early Center is scheduled to be ready on October 20th. We will be moving items during the remote instruction time so that students will start back at the new facility. We will have a celebration at the Early Learning Center on October 24th at 2 pm for all that would like to attend.
Working together as one, we know we can meet the needs of our students while also keeping everyone safe.

Mt. Healthy City School District Food Pantry is hosting "Dinner at Home" distribution on Wednesday, September 22 from 2:30-4 pm. Families may pick-up a special meal box in addition to the regular food distribution package. The special meal box will include all the ingredients, a recipe for the meal, and a link to a video food demonstration making the meal.
Boxes are available to the first 150 families. Distribution will take place at the Jr/Sr High School Warehouse, behind the school.

UPWARD BOUND is recruiting Owls in grades 9-11! Upward Bound helps students succeed in their classes, prepare for the ACT, explore career and apply for college and financial aid. PLUS we provide tutoring, a summer enrichment program and college tours.
