Dear Mt. Healthy City School District Families, We hope that your family had a restful and meaningful Thanksgiving holiday. As we look forward to returning to classes on Monday, Nov. 29, we again ask for your help in keeping our students and staff healthy and safe. With family gatherings, travel out of town, and more social contact over the holiday, our community could see an increase in exposure and positive Covid-19 cases. Therefore, we are asking Mt. Healthy CSD families to show extra diligence in keeping students at home if they exhibit any symptoms of the virus. The most common symptoms our nurses have seen are sinus congestion, sore throat, headache, cough and fever. Again, please do not send your child to school with any of those symptoms. Students should also remain at home if they were exposed to a positive case outside of school, unless they are fully vaccinated and have no symptoms. Remember that the mask-to-stay rule (where symptom-free students can stay in school if they wear their mask correctly) only applies to exposure within the school setting. We ask that all students bring two masks with them to school. One they wear heading into school for the day and one in their backpack. That way, even if they are identified as a close contact during the school day, they will be able to remain at school. Finally, please remember that you can instantly report your child testing positive or being a close contact by contacting the nurse at your student(s) school. Thank you again for your support, and your ongoing consideration for all of our Mt. Healthy CSD students and staff. May your family continue to enjoy the holiday season!

Attached is a link to a video from the USDA that discusses the current state of food and paper supplies. Mt. Healthy Food Service Department is experiencing manpower, food and paper supply shortages on a daily basis. Please remind your students that we are doing our best to serve the posted menu but may have to substitute food items. As for the trays, plates, boats, sporkettes and other paper supplies, we are limited to the number of cases we can order weekly. Currently, we are cleaning the shelves at local Walmart and Sam's stores weekly to supplement our inventory. Thank you all for your support and understanding during these difficult times. Mt. Mt. Healthy High School Seniors Celebrate Applying for College Mt. Healthy High School seniors had a party while applying for college in October. There was music and snacks. There was socializing. There were discussions about after high school plans and college expectations. The event took place after school as the counselors made the college application task fun while students asked questions and worked through the process of completing their applications. Students were quite grateful for the opportunity to complete the online paperwork together and with adults on-hand to answer their questions and help. More afternoons like this will be available in the future; stay tuned!

High School Parents/Guardians, Upon return to in-person learning on Monday (10/25) students need to be in appropriate uniform attire and bring their own mask. Students may wear black, blue or khaki pants, shorts or skirt; a red, black or white collared shirt; and sneakers or crocs, no slides are allowed. Hoodies can be black, red or white, however hoods must remain down and hats must stay off in the building. Students will be reminded of dress code expectations on Monday and consequences if they choose not to follow it. Mt. Healthy spirit wear can be worn at any time. Masks will continue to be required during 2nd quarter throughout the district. Masks must be worn on the school bus and in the building throughout the school day. Your students should have their own mask on the bus and arrive to school with a mask prior to walking into the building. We will have limited masks available for kids who forget their own. We appreciate your help in ensuring our kids are safe and ready to learn for 2nd quarter!
