Participants at the Multicultural Celebration Night were treated to a journey through various dance traditions, featuring student performances from Venezuela, El Salvador, Guatemala, Jordan, Mexico, and Nepal. One of the highlights of the evening was the interactive crafting sessions, where students had the opportunity to create their own banjos and tambourines using simple materials like paper plates. Additionally, they engaged in crafting hand fans, a staple accessory in many traditional dances across various cultures. As part of the festivities, students delved into the culinary delights of different regions, learning to prepare aguas frescas, a refreshing beverage popular in Latin America. The hands-on activity involved mashing watermelon and mixing various ingredients, providing a fun and educational experience. The Multicultural Night also saw participation from parents and students, who contributed to the event's success by dressing in traditional attire and setting up informative displays about their respective home countries. Some parents went the extra mile by bringing traditional snacks to share, further enriching the cultural exchange.
