Mt. Healthy City Schools Removed From Academic Distress-At-Risk Status

Mt. Healthy City Schools has been participating in a District Review with Ohio Department of Education’s Center for Accountability and Continuous Improvement (CACI). Dr. Clairie Huff-Franklin from CACI explained that during a “re-evaluation of all the scores around the state, [Mt. Healthy Schools] you are no longer in that predicament” of being at risk for Academic Distress.

Solar Eclipse Announcement

On Monday, August 21 there will be a solar eclipse that will be visible for much of the United States. This is when the moon blocks the Sun from the Earth. The eclipse will begin around 1 p.m. and conclude around 4 p.m. While our area will see most of the eclipse, there are safety concerns, and specially designed safety glasses must be used. Due to the safety concerns, Mt. Healthy students will remain inside the buildings during the eclipse. Junior High students will be released to buses for dismissal, and High School students will be dismissed as usual.
Please remind your students that looking at the Sun anytime, even during, an eclipse can cause severe damage to their eyes and vision. We appreciate your assistance in keeping our students safe.
