.....David J. Horine
has been superintendent of Mt. Healthy City Schools since 1998.
His extensive career in education spans many years and several
roles and includes, three years as Assistant Superintendent,
two years as Director of Staff and Student Personnel and three
years as Director of Student Services and Technology.
.....Collectively,
Mr. Horine has worked in the Mt. Healthy City School District
for nearly 30 years. His district experience also includes nine
years as a school psychologist and three as a Coordinator of
Special Education and Computer Education. |

.....Mr. Horine's educational philosophy is simple: students
first. His positive approach and leadership skills have earned
him a reputatation as a team player and excellent problem solver
whose door is always open. He's known for his innovative ideas
in special education procedures, elementary intervention teams
and technology that have earned him and the district local, state
and national recognition.
.....Mr.
Horine was elected to serve as president of BASA (Buckeye Association
of School Administrators), the professional association of school
administrators throughout Ohio. He also served six years on board
of education at Winton Woods City Schools from 1992 to 1998;
he was president the last three years.
....Mr. Horine,
a longtime Greenhills resident, received a bachelor's degree
in psychology and education from Centre College and a master's
degree in school psychology from Miami University.He and his
wife, Mary, have two sons. |
