Mt. Healthy City Schools offers several sessions of summer school for 2010. Transportation is provided.

High School
June 14-18

OGT Invervnetion & Assessment
Students will participate in the required 10 hours of instruction needed to participate in the summer administration of the Ohio Graduation Test (OGT). Only those students who have previously taken the test and were not successful are eligible to test during the summer. No cost to students.

Reading: 8-10:30 a.m. (Test date: June 21)
Math: 8-10:30 a.m. (Test date: June 22)
Science: 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. (Test date: June 23)
Social Studies: 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. (Test date: June 24

For Credit Program
Students will participate in online courses to earn makeup credits n required courses.

Session 1: June 14-July 1 (Monday through Thursday)
Session 2: July 6-23 (Monday through Thursday)

3 two-hour slots (8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon). 30 slots for each session are available.
Cost: $50 per course.

Junior High
June 14-July 2 (Monday through Thursday)
8:15 a.m.-noon (Breakfast and lunch served)
Cost: $50. (waived, for qualifiying students).

Grades 6th and 7th (in the 2009/2010 school year)
Students will participate in reading and math instruction. Limited to about 100 students. Effort to focus on developing basic skills in the area of reading and math for students who have demonstrated below grade-level skills. The program will utilize technology to help stimulate students' interests and provide intensive intervention.

Elementary
July 6-23 (Monday through Thursday)
Location: Mt. Healthy Junior High
8:15 a.m.-noon (Breakfast and lunch served)
Cost: $50. (waived, for qualifiying students).

Third Grade Students (in the 2009/2010 school year)
Instruction will focus on reading and developing basic skills in those students who have demonstrated below grade-level skills on the Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA). Technology and targeted intervention programs will be used to meet the needs of individual students. Program qualification will depend on OAA performance. No cost to students.
