IMPACT - Individuals of Mt. Healthy Participating to Achieve a Child's Tomorrow - is devoted to promoting a quality school experience (educational, extracurricular and social) for all .Mt. Healthy students.
IMPACT includes parents, educators and community members. Together they address the unique educational concerns of children, especially those with disabilities and special needs. It is the group's mission to provide information, strategies and support to benefit "our" children and families. They work to enhance communication and foster a partnership between families and school staff.
Their achievements are many and include:
- a change in the graduation policy to better meet the needs of students with disabilities
- sponsor workshops, presentations for parents and teachers on a variety of topics such as how to obtain special services
- awards grants to teachers with innovative classroom ideas for inclusion
- provide special recognition to school staff for their IMPACT on children
IMPACT meets 7:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month during August through May. Donations for their grant and recognition programs are encouraged!Where: Parent Mentor Office, Room 22
