Owls Soccer Coach Voted 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year in Mt. Healthy City Schools

 Tyler Meyer, esteemed teacher and coach, was awarded 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year at the Mt. Healthy Opening Day for Teachers on Tuesday, August 15. Tyler has been an Intervention Specialist for Mt. Healthy Junior High for the last two years and two years at South Elementary School. He partners with colleagues on the many ways to celebrate student successes by planning honor roll ceremonies, incentives, Field Day activities, and principal lunches. “He will truly do whatever is in the best interest of our students and this district.”

Tyler is Varsity Soccer coach and JV Softball coach for Mt. Healthy Athletics, National Junior Honor Society Club sponsor, and the district’s Teacher Union President.  As a coach he has built strong relationships with his athletes on and off the field creating a family within his teams. He stays in consistent contact with his athletes and their families to ensure their success in the classroom and on the field. Tyler can be seen showing Mt. Healthy Pride at football or basketball games, as well as homecoming activities, prom, or any other school community events. Mt. Healthy City Schools congratulates Tyler for this accomplishment.
